The historic Central Louisiana Community Theatre
traces its roots to the Alexandria Little Theatre group that was
organized in the 1930s. That group eventually led the way to the
construction of the Little Theatre in Bringhurst Park, which was
decimated by a fire during the storms of hurricane Gustav. In 2010 City
Park Players completed the 62nd consecutive season, with performances
at the Hearn Stage, a space rented from the Arts Council of Central
Louisiana and located in the Rapides Foundation Building.
